Two-factor authentication is coming to the VPN March 15, 2017
C&IT works every day to improve security and better protect the important information entrusted to Wayne State by students and employees. Part of this effort is the ongoing rollout of two-factor authentication. Beginning Thursday, March 16, all users will be required to use two-factor authentication to access the VPN. All Wayne State employees are already using this system to access the confidential information in Self-Service Banner including tax forms, direct deposit information and pay stubs.
No configuration changes are required on your part. VPN settings will not change and you can authenticate your login exactly the same way you already do for Self-Service Banner. This additional step helps protect Wayne State's network and information in a world filled with increasingly complex security threats.
