Wayne Connect information for WSU retirees
Currently, Computing & Information Technology (C&IT) is rolling out the Wayne Connect implementation in stages.
- Employees who retired after 2000 are tagged with their home unit. So when faculty and staff WebMail accounts move to Wayne Connect, retiree accounts will also move, on the dates indicated below.
- Employees who retired in the year 2000 or before will have their WebMail accounts moved with the Human Resources Division on Wednesday, April 8, 2009.
For your information, here is the schedule for Wayne Connect implementation:
- Late February-early March 2009: Computing & Information Technology and University Libraries
- March 25: College of Education, College of Nursing, College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, and the School of Social Work.
- April 1: Student Financial Aid, Internal Audit, Testing and Evaluation, Marketing and Communications, Finance, Undergraduate Admissions
- April 8: Human Resources, Division of Research, University Registrar, Business & Auxiliary Operations
- April 15: Library and Information Science, School of Business Administration
- May 20: remaining faculty and staff accounts
- June 10: students and guests
- June 30: C&IT will turn off non-secure POP and IMAP connections and remove the mail.wayne.edu and smtp.wayne.edu mail hosts. If you are still using these settings at that time, you will stop receiving WSU e-mail and also will not be able to send e-mail. Read more.

The Wayne Connect Web Interface also includes a comprehensive and searchable Help facility that provides step-by-step instructions on how to perform common tasks and contains both a Contents and an Index. After you log in, click the question mark in the upper-right of the window.
