The WSU AccessID is a unique identification code. It is the key to accessing computing services and resources at Wayne State — such as WSU Pipeline and WSU E-mail.
Wayne State assigns a unique AccessID to each WSU applicant/student and new faculty and staff person.
WSU Pipeline, at pipeline.wayne.edu, is the one-stop location for most online computing needs at Wayne State.
Look in the WSU Online Directory, Wayne State's electronic phone book. The directory has two main components:
*Students not wanting to be listed in the WSU Online Directory can have their listings removed by filling out a Release of Directory Information form.
WSU provides all its students and employees with an e-mail account with 30MB of storage and the ability to send and receive attachments that are up to 30MB in size.
We recommend that everyone use that account for e-mail or set it so that e-mail sent to it is forwarded to a preferred e-mail address.
However, we can realistically say that not everyone uses the WSU E-mail account.
Currently, the WSU wireless connection is available only to WSU students and employees who have a WSU AccessID.
The WSU Wireless network is available in several locations on the WSU main campus, including parts of the Student Center, Scott Hall, and the Welcome Center. See wireless@wayne for more information about the WSU wireless connection.
C&IT provided computer support is available only to WSU students, faculty, staff, and retirees.
