Multi-line (digital) business sets must be purchased from C&IT. Single-line (standard analog) sets can be purchased from C&IT, or from any retail outlet. Consider the following before purchasing single-line telephones from off-campus sources:
- If a phone purchased from C&IT is found to be defective, C&IT will replace it at no charge. If a phone purchased from a retail store is found to be defective, it will be up to the department to obtain a replacement phone.
- C&IT cannot guarantee that all features (i.e., message waiting lamping) will work on phones purchased from off-campus sources.
