Join the techsup Discussion List
Sometimes the best method of getting help with a problem is to ask other technical support people. The techsup LISTSERV discussion list provides technical support staff at Wayne State University with a way to do that. The techsup group also serves as a forum for sharing resources and information.
To join the LISTSERV discussion list for the WSU Technical Support Partners Group:
-
Send e-mail to LISTSERV@LISTS.WAYNE.EDU with the command:
subscribe techsup your name
where your name is your full name. (LISTSERV gets your e-mail address from the "From:" field in your e-mail message.) - Because the techsup LISTSERV list is private, wait until you receive an approval e-mail.
- When your request is approved, you will begin receiving all e-mail sent to the techsup list and will be able to send e-mail messages to the list at techsup@lists.wayne.edu.
Attend meetings of the techsup group
C&IT's Computing Support Team schedules meetings of the Technical Support (techsup) Partners Group on a quarterly basis. At these meetings, C&IT or WSU technical staff make presentations on the status of current and upcoming technology initiatives on campus, and encourage discussion among members.
Meetings of the techsup group are announced in advance on the techsup discussion list and registration is required.
