This morning from approximately 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. many major WSU computer systems--including Blackboard, Wayne Connect, and Banner--were offline. C&amp;amp;IT identified the problem and as of 10:15 a.m. those systems are available. 

There are some residual problems with Pipeline which should be resolved shortly.

We appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.

            No action is required. The user experience with Pipeline should remain unchanged.

            <title>WSU Pipeline -- &quot;Too Many Simultaneous Logins&quot;</title>

            <description>During the past several days, you may have seen the &amp;quot;Too Many Simultaneous  Logins&amp;quot; message when trying to logon to&amp;nbsp;WSU Pipeline.&amp;nbsp;
This is an intermittent problem that temporarily affects the Pipeline  logon process.&amp;nbsp; If you wait 10-15 minutes and try again,&amp;nbsp;you  will&amp;nbsp;successfully logon to Pipeline and can complete&amp;nbsp;your work.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;
NOTE: if&amp;nbsp;you are trying to access Blackboard or Wayne Connect through  Pipeline, there is a workaround: just connect directly to these systems  using the links in the lower-left corner of the Pipeline logon page.&amp;nbsp;  For your convenience, here are the links to these systems:&amp;nbsp;

            <title>WSU Timesheet submission deadline extended to noon Monday, 12/14/09</title>

To address the problem of WSU Pipeline being unavailable this afternoon, the timesheet submission deadline of 5:00 p.m. today, December 11, 2009, will be extended until Monday, December 14, 2009, at 12 noon.
Since time sheets can be submitted and approved from any computer with Internet access, WSU's Payroll Office suggests that you consider submitting timesheets remotely over the weekend, as demand on University systems during the weekend is usually at its lowest.

The Approver deadline remains unchanged: Monday, 12/14/09, by 6:00 p.m.

At approximately 5:15 p.m. today, WSU Pipeline, the Banner System, and Cognos are again available.
Should you have questions regarding the timesheet matter on Monday, 12/14, please call the Payroll Office at (313) 577-2138.

Note: Technicians and student assistants are not included in this mail distribution. We ask management to follow up with them directly to make sure their timesheets get submitted before noon Monday, Dec. 14.
