IronPort Spam Quarantine

The Spam Quarantine is a function of an IronPort anti-spam appliance that was implemented as part of WSU's E-mail Upgrade Project -- specifically to help lower the amount of spam hitting WSU mailboxes.

Messages IronPort identifies as spam are placed in a Spam Quarantine where you have full control over what to do with these messages. You will not see these messages in your e-mail Inbox. What you will see is an automated Wayne Connect Quarantine Notification showing the messages IronPort has blocked as suspected spam.

If you have quarantined messages, you will receive a notification every morning at 6 a.m. You will receive multiples notifications if you use an E-mail Name or alias, or if you have another e-mail address from a WSU school, college (e.g. @sci.wayne.edu), department, or division.

Note: Messages will be automatically removed from the quarantine after 14 days.
