Using e-mail discussion groups is easier with latest LISTSERV

Wayne State faculty, staff, and student organizations can set up, use, and manage e-mail discussion groups/communities, newsletters, and announcement lists using the LISTSERV system. This e-mail tool makes it easy for a group of people who share a common interest to communicate and collaborate. Messages sent to a list's address are distributed to all the list's members.

The June 24, 2007, LISTSERV upgrade to Version 15.0 brings a number of enhancements that improve performance, along with new features such as:

Spam control — improved to curtail spam for list owners.
Enhanced Web Interface — completely redesigned to improve usability and navigation.
List archives — now fully displays HTML and multipart messages and allows easy access to attachments.
List Owner dashboard — provides list owners with at-a-glance summary information about their lists, customable reporting options, and tools to accomplish many common tasks.
User-friendly configuration wizard — guides list owners through editing the list header.
Expanded configuration settings — new list header keywords give owners more list management options.
