Web Hosting
What is it?
If you are looking for a Web location for your departmental website, Wayne State University may be able to let you use some of the space on its www.wayne.edu server.
Web hosting on the www.wayne.edu server provides a way for campus units to establish and maintain functional websites while minimizing their own technical support requirements. Use the free content management system to eliminate the need for web page authoring software, like Dreamweaver. Many units on campus are already using the web hosting service.
Who can use it?
The Web hosting service is for use by WSU schools and departments.
Is there a cost?
There is no cost to store a school or department's website on the www.wayne.edu server, or to use the content management system. There are some costs for website design, as well as if you elect to have the Web Communications Solutions team make your website updates.
