Wayne Connect
Wayne Connect is the official communication and collaboration system at Wayne State University. An innovative and easy-to-use Web interface integrates email with calendars, address books, tasks, documents, and an online storage briefcase — all of which can be shared with other Wayne Connect users. The Web interface also includes powerful search capabilities and instant messaging.
Wayne Connect is accessible from any computer and many mobile devices connected to the Internet. For information about accessing WSU e-mail, including passwords and helpful settings, click the E-mail Settings link at the left.
Wayne Connect provides a tool to filter out potential spam and channel it into a Junk e-mail folder. In addition, the system includes an anti-spam appliance that blocks delivery of spam or junk e-mail to your Inbox and places it in an IronPort Spam Quarantine instead.
The Wayne Connect Web interface is based on the Zimbra Collaboration Suite and is hosted by the Merit Network, Inc. in Wayne State's Datacenter. This means that Wayne State retains ownership of and complete control over all the data, while system administration is handled by Merit.
