Mail settings

Use the following settings when setting up your e-mail software for WSU AccessID e-mail:

Incoming mail
- Always use – mail.wayne.edu
Outgoing mail
- If you have a campus or VPN connection – use smtp.wayne.edu
- If you are off campus and are using a commercial ISP – you must use the SMTP server supplied by your ISP. Visit the following Websites for more information.

  - WOW! – http://www1.wowway.com/customer/customer.aspx?ConIdent=2&RCView=Nothing
    – in the "Select Internet Category" section, choose "E-mail." Then click "How do I setup my e-mail?"

To search the WSU Directory from your desktop e-mail client (LDAP search), use the following settings in the appropriate areas:

If you have the option to authenticate, use your AccessID and password (authentication gives you more detail in the records you retrieve).
