Accessing Wayne Connect
Wayne State students, faculty, staff, and retirees can access their Wayne Connect account in the following ways:
- On the Web, 24x7, giving you access to 10 GB of online storage:
- click the e-mail icon
in WSU Pipeline at pipeline.wayne.edu, or
- log in directly at connect.wayne.edu, using your WSU AccessID and password
- Using an email (client) program on a desktop or laptop computer with a secure IMAP connection (for access from computers in multiple locations). Note: The C&IT Help Desk supports Microsoft Outlook and Apple Mail. Set-up info.
- Using Microsoft Outlook and Apple Mail or iCal with a Zimbra Connector program that lets you synchronize mail and calendars with Wayne Connect, so this information is available from your computer (in the office or at home) and from any computer on the Internet. This method also lets you take advantage of the 10 GB of storage available on your Wayne Connect account. Set-up info.
- Forwarding WSU E-mail to an e-mail address used frequently. Even though you aren't using the university's communication and collaboration system, you will at least get important e-mail sent to your AccessID e-mail address. This is the address that is found in each person's directory listing and is the address faculty and staff use to send important messages via e-mail. Set-up info.
Computing & Information Technology (C&IT) recommends that Wayne State faculty and staff check with their technical support staff about the Wayne Connect access method(s) being used and supported in their school, college, division, or department/office.
